During my early days at university, I quickly grasped the concept that paintings don't always materialise as initially intended. This realisation proved to be true in this particular instance.

Initially, my goal was to create a piece inspired by a rusted-out car door. However, as I dived into the creative process, a shift occurred, and the composition took on a different form. It evolved into a more nuanced exploration of color and texture, departing from the initial concept of the car door.

This experience taught me to embrace the organic nature of art-making, allowing the work to take its own path and unfold in unexpected ways. It served as a reminder that sometimes the most compelling and meaningful artistic outcomes arise from relinquishing rigid expectations and embracing the creative journey itself.
