A Pebble I Found at Eastlake, 2022 | Original Painting
This piece began unexpectedly beside Botany Dams, where I found a cracked pebble revealing delicate bands of colour and texture. That fracture became a quiet metaphor for hidden layers we carry — stories that surface when something breaks. Back in the studio, it became the catalyst for this diptych. Working wet-in-wet, I captured the subtle complexity of this overlooked object. The work reflects how something small can point towards something deeper and more significant.
