Faded Facade, 2025 | Original Painting
This piece is based on a terrace in St Peters that I’ve painted before and felt drawn back to. The concrete render is cracked and worn, crumbling away in places, and the paint has peeled and faded after years of exposure to the elements. Still, I find something compelling in the surface — the texture, the marks, the quiet record of time passing. For me, it’s less about decay and more about character. There’s a certain beauty in what’s left behind — in the imperfections that tell their own story.
