Rust Texture No. 2, 2021 | Original Painting

This piece was my first experiment with cold wax, marking a turning point in my practice. I was inspired by an old industrial bin I saw in a Sydney laneway — distorted metal with peeling paint. The textures and fractures became the focus. A fun side note: my gallerist’s husband loved it so much he bought it himself rather than let it go to another collector.
